Christmas @ MTTC

Hey Mar Theophilus College.. Do you know how beautiful you are? All draped in colourful stars and decorations! You look so pretty.....

The atmosphere was so mindblowing and vibrant from the main gate to my college in the morning. The meeting was scheduled to start at 11.00 am. We organised our carol team to have a final practice.

The meeting started at 11.00 am with a prayer, followed by the Christmas messages by our principal KY Benedict sir and Bursar(the union chairman). And last but not the least, our chief guest Fr. Jolly Karimpil soothed our minds with his Christmas message.

In between, we had a small cake cutting session in our English classroom.

Later, we had various programmes conducted by students. Carol songs, dance, role play, solo songs added more colours to the eve.

No celebration is ever complete without our unofficial happy frames.

Will be back at MTTC after the winter vacation. Time to bid farewell to 2021 only for welcoming 2022 with more hopes and desires. I would be entering my college in the next year to start again from the beginning.....

X'mas is near!!!

I reached the college a little early today. The Maths department well did their assembly today. Their special 'quiz session' was interesting. Their assembly came along with the international mathematics day. Oh! What a perfect coincidence😀.

The first hours were optional subject. We continued sharing our experiences with teachers.

The next hour was the class by Maya ma'am. She resumed explaining the qualities and competencies of a teacher.

Later Ancy ma'am discussed child psychology and its principles.

The afternoon session included the practice for tomorrow's Christmas carol song. Also, we participated in the 'Letter to Santa' contest too.

I am eagerly waiting for tomorrow's x'mas celebration at MTTC. Today I am going to my bed with a curious and excited mind.

21st Day, 21st year of 21st century

Our class started with a socially relevant discussion today. Thank you Joju sir for taking the initiative for discussing the issues caused by the internet, in an era where technology is inevitable. As upcoming teachers, the discussion could enlighten us with the numerous troubles caused by the cyberworld. 

The next hour was handled by Maya Ma'am, who taught us about the qualities and competencies of a teacher.

The afternoon session was spent for the X'mas card making competition. We used our creativity at the best and the result is here.

The final hour was an insight into the different aspects of video editing and analysing. Joju sir successfully guided us to watch a video from the director's perspective.

Week "Begins"

Its monday again🙂..An energetic day after the holidays. First two hours was optional subjects. We continued sharing our best and negative experiences from teachers. It was like a platform to open up the untold stories in our hearts. 

After that it was Joju sir's class. He divided the asignment topics and explained the portions in the technology paper. 

In the afternoon session, Joju sir discussed the difference between technology in education and technology of education.

Later it was the library hour till 3.30. 

Memorable

An unforgettable day in my life. We had yoga classes for the first two hours. Today was our first day of the NAAC visit. Afternoon hours were filled with the showcase of the mindblowing talents of MTTC students. A series of dance programmes were organised, which represented various states of India. I am much happier as I got a chance to participate in one of the dance programmes. Like other days, today too I could reach my home by 7.30 pm😂..But now it feels interesting

The final touch up for the NAAC visit. And our hardworks came out amazing. A major part of the credit goes to our Meekha ma'am, who supported us wholeheartedly.

Programme practice was also going along with that. Today we left our classroom with complete satisfaction.

Along with this, there was also practices for the dance programmes that were going to take place on Tuesday. Was a really busy Saturday for me at MTTC...

"RISE AND SHINE"

 

Time to do some creative work. Some chart works by us enhanced the beauty of our classroom. Several practices for dance programmes, associated with the NAAC visit on 14th, were going on at the auditorium. 

Aliferous

Today was our first assembly day at Mar Theophilus college. The whole class was equally involved in the assembly. We released our logo of the english department with the association name 'Aliferous'. Special thanks to our respected principal K Y Benedict sir for appreciating us and for delivering a motivating speech. Later we had a mock NAAC visit from which we understood how they evaluate our college, with students being an inevitable part of it. Later we carried on with our classroom beautification works till the evening.

Day of creativity

Today was a more active day than the others. Our creative minds got a feast today. Elizabeth ma'am soothed our minds with her beautiful art of making home decors using flowers and twigs. I could get a feeling of going back to nature. Since I am a garden lover, the session helped me to arrange it in a better way.

The afternoon was filled with our preparations for our assembly tomorrow followed by an energetic aerobics session by an amazing trainer. She was capable of making even the beginners dance! Thus the final session went with some exciting steps in aerobics. 

I am eagerly waiting for my first assembly day after a long gap of 7 years.

Monday Funday

"If you can dream it, you can do it"

My first Monday of the B.ed course. It was like a fresh start. The words of Maya ma'am on functions of education prompted me to think about the multiple aspects of the profession I chose to do.

The following sessions were handled by Shafi sir about the academic perspective of the course. Apart from the nine tips related to the completion of the course, his perspectives on the values of life influenced me a lot.

Energetic performances by both the Malayalam and social science replaced the drowsy afternoon.

Looking forward to some exciting days ahead..
