Prefix

 There is an exercise for my students about prefix and suffix in their textbook. As prefixes are given inportance in the text, I prepared a teaching aid for prefix.

 I gave an activity for my students to make popcorn like figures using adjectives.

End of chapter Shipwrecked sailor

A shipwrecked sailor, the long chapter came to am end this week. I cleared the doubts and discussed some of the activoties today. One of those activities are adjectives.

 For the class plus one and plus two class, a concept map was created.

Shining wisdom

 Today I am really happy because a student of GGHSS Pattom,THANMAYA  SAUL, became the winner of State award for best child artist. We are contented more about the fact that she got a valuable appreciation by our Education minister Sri. V. Sivankutty sir.

A shipwrecked sailor

 The story ‘A Shipwrecked Sailor’ is an account of the tragedy that befell crew members of a Colombian naval destroyer in the Caribbean after they were allegedly swept overboard by a giant wave. Luis Alejandro Velasco, a sailor who spent ten days on a life raft without food or water, was the lone survivor.

I started this chapter today. I started by introducing ship, shipwrecks etc. As the story has many difficult words, its was difficult for the students to comprehend. I think this chapter needs more time to complete.

TAJ MAHAL

 Today I started the new poem 'Taj Mahal' in my class. I personally loved this poem. It was a happy moment for me to find different was to teach and explain it in different ways. The activities in the chapter is also interesting. The poem is about the immortal art, which, in the form of Taj Mahal, make us remember Shah Jahan's love for his wife Mumtaz.

Adjective Poems!

 I gave my students an activity which is there in their prescribed textbook. They were provided with some colour cards to write poems, by changing the adjectives of the one in the textbook. They participated intrestingly.
