Ah, Monday. We meet again

Today, upto noon we had optional hours. We took our microteaching practice during the hours. Including me, six students completed their classes today. It was at the same time interesting and skill developing procedure.

After that, we had the class of Joju sir. He gave us a thorough knowledge about different types of questions, including objective type, essays, match the following etc. It was a simple but important topic for us.

Today , it was our turn for the morning assembly. Combined effort made our assembly a simple and beautiful one. 

After that, we had our optional classes and later, we had general hours too. Overall, it was a nice day to have.

Butterflies...

 

Natural Science Association in collaboration with Eco Club celebrate the World Environmental day at the college.  The quiz session and the Butterfly garden became the highlights of the day.

CBP- A blissful experience

Today, we had a Capacity building programme with Manoj sir as our resource person. The programme was inaugurated by our respected principal Dr. K Y Benedict sir and was coordinated by Ancy ma'am. Manoj sir gave us tasks, shared his experiences and showed some short videos to us. His session with games were interesting. We could find out our hidden talents and possibilities through his interesting session.

After the session, some of the students gave the feedback and it was followed by the talks of our chairperson and our Principal. The session was energetic and thought provoking while it gave an insight into the teaching careers we are bound to perform.

Obra Dramatica

Today, the first hour was taken by Benedict sir. He discussed one of the major technique of teaching which is questioning skill. Later, Giby teacher took her final class in her career about defense mechanism. In between the class, Maya ma'am joined us for a short unofficial send off. We sang Giby teacher's favourite song together.

Afternoon, Malayalam association organised a small celebration of world drama day. Me along with my friend got the opportunity to participate in the programme. It was a nice experience for us to act in the stage. It was fun too. And we got the the 3rd prize.

Field Visit

 

"Collect Moments not things"

A well spend day with friends and teachers. The soothing atmosphere of Asan Smarakam, the entertaining Sambranikkodi mangroves and the relaxing seashore really made my day. The journey was as a part of our field trip from the college. 

Sambranikkodi

Asan Smarakam, where the memories of  the great poet Kumaran Asan lies, provided us with an experience of the former culture of Kerala. We were fortunate enough to visit the museum with the poet's old photographs, handwritten notes etc.
