After that, we went for our demonstration class, which was handled by Deepa Joseph ma'am. She gave us an entire view of how to manage a class. Her way of asking questions, explaining the story, use of blackboard, creation of rapport, gestures etc were valuable lessons for us as evolving teachers.
After lunch, we met our assigned teacher for giving us a class. Sajitha George ma'am gave us one of her classes. Me, along with my friend Nandana took the poem named "A prayer in the spring" by Robert Frost. The students responded properly. The teacher gave us her valuable feedback at the end of the session.
And another exciting day ended here. I got a golden opportunity to face students, to teach them, and to manage a classroom. Though I was a little bit nervous because of my lack of experience, it gave me more confidence to pursue a career in teaching.
